Would you like to begin researching your family history? Your public library is the place to start. Suz Bates, a local, genealogist will present the basics of genealogy research so you can begin today. You will start your research during the workshop; learn how to keep track of what you find; and discover hints for continuing your research at home and in the library.

This program will be presented using Zoom. Participants that register and provide a working email address will receive the login information. Passwords for meeting will be sent out the day of the program. 

Using Zoom:

Zoom can be accessed in multiple ways –

  • Mobile devise (phone or tablet)
  • Desktop or Laptop

Your devise will need a webcam and microphone to participate. You do not need a Zoom account to attend our program. To join, click on the provided link from your email or LibCal event description, follow the prompts from Zoom. You might have to download Zoom. If the program requires a password and meeting ID, it can be found in the invitation. Once this is complete, you will be prompted to enter your name which will be displayed on screen. You will be put into a “waiting room” and will be admitted by the library host.
