DRAW-A-BOX Art Club: Lesson One

DRAW-A-BOX Art Club: Lesson One Online

Over the last few months, we've been learning about colors, lines, and gestures in the monthly ART TUTORIAL videos. Now, we're gonna start putting these skills together into art projects! If you're following along digitally with a tablet or iPad on a computer art program, you're good to go, but if you prefer to work traditionally the art concepts we've learned will work on paper and canvas too!

Using Draw A Box.com, a completely free art tool for teaching artists how to hone their skills, we will work on art skills and follow along with the lessons. No sign up on the website is required, but you may want to sign up if you wish to upload your drawings to a digital sketchbook and request critiques.

If you need drawing materials, we will have fineliners and computer paper available for you to pick up. Otherwise all you need is a tablet/ipad with an art program, or a 0.5 fineliner or ball point pen and computer paper. (Sketchbook paper absorbs and wastes ink.)

When you register on the library webpage, you will be given a link to the lesson. Follow along with the lesson on loose computer paper or your computer art program!  Ages 10+

Registration for Teen Art Programs automatically qualifies you for the RGL Teen Art Club. Links for the digital art club space will be sent to everyone who signs up for an art program!
