IGNACY JAN PADEREWSKI: ARTIST, STATESMAN, HUMANITARIAN In-Person
This year is the 130th anniversary of Paderewski's first visit to Chicago. He opened the Chicago 1893 World's Fair as a virtuoso pianist under Chicago Orchestra conductor Theodore Thomas, and they became great friends, often dining together at the Glessner House on Prairie Avenue. Victoria Granacki will host a presentation on Paderwski's life and work along with answering questions at the end.
